Chris Gellert, PT, MMusc & Sportsphysio, MPT, CSCS, C-IASTM, NASM-CPT is the CEO of Pinnacle Training & Consulting Systems, LLC, a continuing education and consulting company. Chris completed an Advanced Master’s degree in orthopedics & sports physical therapy from the University of South Australia, Master’s degree in physical therapy and B.S. in Marketing. He is an experienced international presenter, writer, and consultant. He has created 15 home study courses on human movement and three live seminars for personal trainers and physical therapy assistants. He developed the advanced Certificate in Post Rehabilitation Program(CPRS). Mobility and stability; why we need it

Mobility and stability are important for daily and sport specific movements. What happens when someone lacks mobility or has too much? Learn about fascia, trigger points, adaptive shortening all affect movement. You will literally leave with a new set of tools in your toolbox affecting client’s mobility and stability.

Objectives:

1 - Identify the pathology of what knee osteoarthritis and why someone undergoes surgery

2 - Identify and understand the surgical process and rehab for a total knee replacement

3 - Identify what causes impingement syndrome and how to prevent it from developing

4 - Develop an exercise regiment that is safe and yields results for knee OA and TKR

5 - Perform both static and dynamic exercises that are specific to helping a client with knee osteoarthritis and/or total knee replacement
